The Illinois Forest Preserve has so many programs and events that are great for families. I have yet to be dissapointed after a visit to Shabbona Woods or neighboring Sand Ridge Nature Center.
Very nice little park, well maintained and facilities all clean. Camping is mainly cabins or tents as there is no hookup, but we enjoyed staying over night in our camper van on our #AcumaticaRoadtrip
